Transfer Recommendations

Transfer recommendations suggest optimal inventory movements between locations to balance stock levels.

Viewing Transfer Recommendations

  1. Navigate to Plan → Transfer Recommendations
  2. View recommendations by:
    • From Location: Source locations
    • To Location: Destination locations
    • Product: Products to transfer
    • Priority: High, medium, low priority

Recommendation Details

Each recommendation shows:
  • From Location: Source location and current inventory
  • To Location: Destination location and current inventory
  • Product: Product to transfer
  • Quantity: Recommended transfer quantity
  • Reason: Why transfer is recommended
  • Expected Benefit: Expected improvement from transfer

Approving Recommendations

  1. Review recommendation details
  2. Verify:
    • Source has sufficient inventory
    • Destination needs inventory
    • Transfer makes sense
  3. Click Approve
  4. Recommendation moves to pending execution

Rejecting Recommendations

If a recommendation doesn’t make sense:
  1. Click Reject
  2. Provide reason for rejection (optional)
  3. System will:
    • Remove from active recommendations
    • Learn from rejection (if ML enabled)
    • Not regenerate same recommendation

Executing Transfers

  1. Select approved recommendations
  2. Click Execute Transfer
  3. System will:
    • Create transfer shipment
    • Reserve inventory at source
    • Allocate inventory to destination
    • Update planning status

Pending Transfers

View transfers awaiting execution:
  • Approved: Approved but not yet executed
  • Scheduled: Scheduled for future execution
  • In Progress: Currently being executed

Permissions & Roles

Viewing transfer recommendations requires standard user permissions. Approving and executing transfers requires inventory management permissions. Contact your organization administrator for details.
