Inventory by Channel

View inventory allocated across different sales channels (DTC, wholesale, marketplace, etc.) to understand channel-specific availability and ATP (Available to Promise).

Overview

The By Channel view shows how inventory is allocated across your sales channels. This helps you:
  • See ATP (Available to Promise) by channel
  • Monitor channel-specific inventory levels
  • Understand channel allocation policies
  • Identify channels with low stock

Viewing Channel Inventory

  1. Navigate to Sense → By Channel
  2. Select a channel from the channel filter
  3. View inventory allocated to that channel across all locations

Channel Allocation Policies

Inventory allocation to channels is controlled by Channel Policies configured in Govern → Channel Policies. These policies determine:
  • How inventory is allocated across channels
  • Priority order for channel allocation
  • Reserve quantities per channel
  • ATP calculation rules

Understanding ATP

ATP (Available to Promise) represents the quantity available for allocation to a specific channel after accounting for:
  • Physical inventory on hand
  • Reserved inventory for that channel
  • Channel allocation policies
  • Safety stock requirements

Channel Inventory Details

For each channel, you can view:
  • Total ATP: Available to promise quantity
  • Reserved: Quantity reserved for orders
  • Available: Available for new orders
  • On-Order: Expected inbound inventory
  • By Location: ATP breakdown by location
Filter channel inventory by:
  • Channel: Select specific channels
  • Location: Filter by location
  • Product: Search by product SKU or name
  • Status: Available, reserved, allocated

Checking Channel Availability

  1. Navigate to Sense → By Channel
  2. Select the channel you want to check
  3. Review ATP for products of interest
  4. Use this information for order fulfillment decisions

Identifying Low Stock Channels

  1. Navigate to Sense → By Channel
  2. Review ATP levels across channels
  3. Identify channels with low ATP
  4. Consider reallocating inventory or adjusting channel policies

Permissions & Roles

Channel inventory viewing requires inventory.read permission. To modify channel policies, you need admin.channelpolicies.write permission.
